Over 2.50 lakh litre of blue-dyed kerosene allocated for Assam’s Hailakandi

HAILAKANDI:  Blue dyed kerosene oil has been allotted to the Gaon Panchayat Samabay Samittees Limited, hawkers and fair price shops of Assam’s Hailakandi district for the months of January, February and March.

Indorming about the same Additional Deputy Commissioner, Food Civil Supplies and Corporate Affairs, AR Mazumder said 1.5 litre of blue dyed kerosene oil will be distributed to the beneficiaries of both urban and rural areas through fair price shops and 0.550 litre through hawkers as per NFSA FIC.

Altogether 2,64,125 litres of blue dyed kerosene have been allotted to GPSS and hawkers for distribution to beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, ADC, Mazumder has directed the Area Officers to ensure lifting and proper distribution of blue dyed kerosene oil to the allottees in their respective areas. He warned of strict action 'if there is leakage in the open market'.

The ADC asked all the allottees to lift and arrange distribution under PDS at government fixed rate immediately. While directing the GPSS secretaries to supervise the entire distribution by the concerned fair price shops.

Mazumder further asked them to report forthwith if any anomaly is detected through the concerned Area Officers.
