"It's a well-known fact that Pak is nerve centre of terrorism... Pakistan PM himself is on record saying there are around 40,000 terrorists present in Pak and they have attacked neighbouring countries", said T S Tirumurti, India's Permanent Representative to United Nations

He also stated that Pakistan nerve centre of terrorism, home to the largest number of designated terror entities, as said to ANI.

"I want to reassure you that the attempt by Pakistan to involve the United Nations in the context of Jammu and Kashmir, has not borne fruit and has been strongly refuted by India at every turn", said TS Tirumurti.

He also raised the UN angle. "The fact that Pak mission to UN is compelled to invite a person who has been convicted in the US to spread their propaganda is indicative of the fact that they do not have any reasonable voice that can help propagate a narrative", said TS Tirumurti, Permanent Rep. of India to UN.

Since the partition of British India in 1947 and creation of dominions of India and Pakistan, the two countries have been involved in a number of wars, conflicts and military stand-offs. The Kashmir issue and across the border terrorism have been the cause of conflicts between the two countries mostly with the exception of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 where conflict originated due to turmoil in erstwhile East Pakistan (now Bangladesh).
