GUWAHATI: Ulfa (I) Commander in Chief Paresh Baruah Tuesday issued a warning to New Delhi-based drilling services contractors Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited, to pay the outfit its “due share” as price for exploiting Assam’s natural resources. The outfit has reportedly demanded Rs. 20 crore from the firm.

Pranab Kumar Gogoi (51) and radio operator Ram Kumar (35) were abducted by Ulfa (I) from Kumchaikha hydrocarbon drilling site near Innao in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, which borders Myanmar, on December 21 last year. Although Baruah has promised not to harm Gogoi, the non-Assamese man Kumar could be targetted, Baruah reportedly said.
