Pregnant migrant gets stuck at the top of US-Mexico Border wall

EL PASO,TEXAS: A pregnant migrant got stuck atop a steel wall at the United States-Mexico border in Texas while attempting to cross the border and was later rescued by firefighters.

The 23-year-old woman had scaled up the 18-foot high wall in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. However, she was unable to climb down and reach the U.S. side of the border in El Paso.

After seeing the condition of the woman, the U.S. Border Patrol officers on the scene requested the assistance from the El Paso Fire Department.

Followed by the request, a fire fighter was raised to the top of the wall in a ladder to bring the woman down.

After the rescue, the woman was rushed to University Medical Center for a medical evaluation where the doctors declared that both the woman and her baby are in good health.

The woman was later expelled to Mexico as she unlawfully tried to enter the United States.

Under President Joe Biden's administration, the government continues to expel most of the migrant families and single adults, but unaccompanied children are permitted to remain in the United States.
