President Kovind administered first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

NEW DELHI: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind today received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at an army hospital here and urged all eligible citizens to get inoculated.

The who is 75-year-old President was accompanied by his daughter when the vaccine dose was administered on him.

He took rest at the hospital for over half an hour for observation before leaving.

The President thanked all doctors, nurses, health workers and administrators who are successfully implementing the largest vaccination drive in history.

The phase III of the vaccination drive is targeting the senior citizens above the age of 60 years.
