New Delhi, May 5, 2019:

It seems like the war of words between the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the one who hopes to dethrone him, Rahul Gandhi, is not going to be over anytime soon.

The latest war-of-words between the two broke out after Prime Minister Modi lambasted Rahul for alleging corruption in the Rafale deal during an election rally on 5 May. The Prime Minister further alleged that it was Rahul's father Rajiv, in fact, who was a 'bhrastachari' (corrupt).

This comment apparently struck a raw nerve in the Congress scion who immediately took to Twitter to vent his anger. Rahul said that Modi is projecting his own ideas onto his late father.

In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi said, "Modi ji, the battle is over. Your Karma awaits you. Projecting your inner beliefs about yourself onto my father won’t protect you."

Meanwhile, leading figures such as Mahesh Bhatt and Kapil Sibal have also Tweeted out in support of the Congress President.
