Guwahati, December 17, 2018:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday demanded that Congress president Rahul Gandhi apologise to the people of the country for spreading lies against the BJP on Rafale deal.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Adityanath told reporters: “I came here to draw your attention to the Rafale deal. The Congress is the oldest party in the country and hence, it is expected that it will behave responsibly and not mislead people by spreading lies. That the Congress was spreading lies was exposed in the recent judgement of the Supreme Court. So, Rahul Gandhi should apologise to the people of the country”.

Adityanath also slammed the Congress for allegedly shying away from a debate and discussion on the Rafale deal in the Parliament.

“We said we are ready to discuss any issue in the Parliament. The Congress is shying away from a discussion. The Congress’s campaign is based on lies and it is going on even after the SC judgement that ruled out wrongdoing. The Congress’s not accepting the SC judgement shows the party has no respect for democracy,” he said.

Stating that the BJP will “expose” the lies of the Congress, he said, “The Congress wants to keep the issue alive so that they can mislead the people of the country for some more time”.
