The Next of Kins and Veterans were informed about the latest initiatives on enrolment of girls in Army and assistance being provided for them in pre-recruitment training at unit Headquarters.

The itinerary also included an interactive session, awareness talks on welfare schemes for Next of Kins and Veterans by the Zila Sainik Board, Kokrajhar District, medical check-up by Medical Officer, organisation of refreshments, lunch, and an entertainment programme. More than 300 Veterans and NoKs were present in the conclave.

It is to be mentioned that the year “2019” is being observed as the “Year of Next of Kin” (YoNoK) by Indian Army.
