NEW DELHI: Writer and poet Renu Saini has sought permission to write the biography of Arunachal Pradesh's first IPS officer Robin Hibu in Hindi for the inspiration of youth in India, especially for the Hindi speaking community.

"It's so hearting touching for me that my small endeavours in serving the country as IPS and as a Gandhian social worker for the less privileged vulnerable section of society through NGO Helping Hands are receiving such positive response," Hibu said.

According to Hibu, Saini intends to pen down all those unheard struggles the officer's life for posterity.

Saini's next book will focus on the lives of former National Cadet Corps (NCC) and she says that immediately afterwards, she also intends a separate book chronicling the life of Mr. Hibu.

"Mr. Hibu has apparently struggled a lot. Despite being a talented man, his path was strewn with thorns. However, he never gave up and continued to persevere. He has proven that Northeast Indians are no less and if you are strong enough, you can overcome any obstacle," Saini told InsideNE.

"Although I had initially approached IPS Hibu for a book on the NCC cadets as he was a former cadet, he shared a lot of intriguing tidbits about his personal life. Therefore, I believe that I should write a book about his life and struggles and triumphs," she said.

Saini said that she will try to complete the biography within the next months.

Renu Saini, 43, has written 25 books on different subjects and is known for her simple and original ideas that have struck a chord.

"It's a privilege that a mainstream Hindi writer will be writing about a person from the Northeast," Hibu added.
