Actress Rhea Chakraborty on Monday filed yet another plea in the Supreme Court over the alleged "unfair media trial" against her in connection with the case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Rhea has requested the SC to put a stop on the media coverage, clamining that media has 'blown out of proportion' the investigation into the late actor's death.

"The petitioner is already convicted by media even before a foul-play in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput is established. Extreme trauma and infringement of privacy of the rights of petitioner is caused due to constant sensationalization of this case," the plea said.

She further mentioned that the media had also "convicted" the accused in Arushi Talwar case in a similar fashion and the accused were, later on, found innocent by the courts.

The plea also said,"The investigation into financial scams of thousands of crores by the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation never sees the light of the day, and at drop of a hat, cases get registered even without there being a jurisdiction in the foundational case,"

The development in Sushant’s case came a couple of hours after Rhea was seen arriving at the Enforcement Directorate's Mumbai office for a second round of questioning on Monday. She was accompanied by her father, Indrajit Chakraborty, who was also called for interrogation.

After the central government accepted Bihar government's recommendation for a probe by the CBI in the matter, last week the CBI registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi, and others in the case.

On July 31, the ED lodged a case under the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act (PMLA) for what it termed “suspicious transactions” referring to the financial transactions conducted by Rhea who was in a relationship with Sushant at the time of his death.

Earlier a petition by Chakraborty is being heard by the top court, in which she requested the SC to transfer the police case filed against her by Rajput's father from Patna to Mumbai.
