Rhea Chakraborty defends herself in Sushant Singh Rajput case, says "I Will Get Justice"

Sushant Singh Rajput’s unfortunate and sudden demise has opened up a can of worms and each day is coming up with a new revelation in the case. While there was raging debate on nepotism, it took a different turn after Sushant’s father filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in Bihar and alleged that the actress had instigated Sushant to take such drastic step. Ever since the news broke, Rhea has been on the radar of netizens who have been slamming her on social media.

Actor Rhea Chakraborty who has been accused by Sushant Singh Rajput's family of cheating and harassment, broke her silence today and said tearfully in a video released by her lawyers: "Truth shall prevail".

Rhea Chakraborty on Friday issued a video statement and defended herself on Friday. Stating that she has faith in God, the late actor’s rumoured girlfriend said she hopes to get justice. Sushant’s father has lodged an FIR against Rhea and accused her of abetting his son’s suicide.

Here’s Rhea Chakraborty’s full video statement:
"I have immense faith in god and the judiciary. I believe that I will get justice. Even though a lot of horrible things are being said about me on the electronic media, I refrain from commenting on the advice of my lawyers as the matter is sub-judice," Rhea Chakraborty said in the video, her hands folded, her face tear-streaked.
"Satyameva jayate, the truth shall prevail," she further added.

The statement came after it emerged that the Supreme Court may hear Rhea’s plea, seeking transfer of the probe by Bihar Police in the matter to Mumbai, on August 5. The actress had requested the transfer of the case filed by the Bihar Police to Mumbai, stating that the police there was already seized of the matter.

The Bihar police started a parallel investigation after the actor's family filed a case in Patna. This investigation is focused on charges that money was transferred from Sushant Singh Rajput's bank account.

Also today, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) registered a money laundering case worth 15 crore on the basis of the FIR registered by the Bihar Police. The ED decided to file a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) after going through the Bihar Police FIR. It may be noted that the Mumbai Police has yet to file an FIR in the case.
The Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) has been filed against the same accused who have been named in the Bihar Police FIR, including Rhea, her family and six others.

Meanwhile, Bihar Police is planning to make Sushant’s close friend Mahesh Shetty a prime witness in the Sushant Singh death case. Reportedly, the television actor had made several shocking revelations against Rhea and stated that the actress didn’t let Sushant talk to his parents and used to keep a check on his phone constantly. This isn’t all. Rhea and her mother also wanted to change the late actor’s entire team and he was unhappy with the same.
