Rs.12 lakh seized from a man by police in Guwahati

Guwahati (Assam), September 30, 2018:

During routine frisking of vehicles, the police seized Rs.12 lakh from the possession of a man in Khanapara area of Guwahati on Sunday.

According to reports, the man, identified as one Amritraj Chaurasia, was travelling from Biswanath Chariali.

It was not clear as to why he was carrying so much of cash with him. When reports last came in, he was being subjected to interrogation by the police.
