MOSCOW: An independent Russian military analyst, Pavel Felgenhauer warns the world will experience a European or even global war within four weeks.

Felgenhauer made this prediction after observing large-scale Russian military actions near rebel-held eastern Ukraine and annexed Crimea.

The West has been alarmed by Russia's military manoeuvring. Felgenhauer claims the West's suspicions are justified as new video appears to show military movements in Russia's Voronezh, Rostov, and Krasnodar regions.

Several footages show many military helicopters flying close to the border, as well as trains transporting tanks and other military equipment.

"The crisis has the potential to become a pan-European, if not global, crisis. But for the time being potential. Is it going to happen or not? Let's see what happens. They don't know what to do with it in the West "According to the Rosbalt news source, Felgenhauer.

As tensions increases, Felgenhauer argues that assessing Russia's motivations in Ukraine now needs the help of a psychoanalyst.

"Consult a psychoanalyst about this. Is it important for me to explain. All is already happening, according to the evidence. The dangers are multiplying at an alarming rate. Much isn't discussed in the media, but we're seeing some really worrying signals," Felgenhauer added.

In the meantime, the United States has confirmed that it will continue to support Ukraine. On Thursday, US security officials acknowledged that they were aware of military operations of Russia.

Russia, on the other hand, has threatened to retaliate if NATO tries to send troops to Ukraine.

Ukraine now claims Russia has 32,700 troops stationed in Crimea. Ukraine's commander-in-chief, Ruslan Khomchak, recently stated that the country is prepared for any scenario that may arise in the coming days.
