Sachin Rajesh Pilot was removed from the post of Deputy Chief Minister of the state of Rajasthan and President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee.

The Congress party has decided to remove Sachin Pilot as Deputy CM and Rajasthan PCC Chief. Vishvender Singh & Ramesh Meena removed as Ministers. "I regret that Sachin Pilot and some of his associates have been swayed by BJP’s plot and are now conspiring to topple the Congress govt elected by 8 crore Rajasthanis. It is unacceptable", said RS Surjewala.

The Congress senior leaders have been critical of Pilot in the recent days following his ouster. "May God give him wisdom and he doesn't try to topple govt.He should admit his mistake. Doors were always open for him for talks, even today. But, now he seems to have moved ahead of all this, so these things don't matter now", said Rajasthan Congress in-charge Avinash Pande. "Sachin Pilot was made an MP, a Central Minister, Rajasthan Party Chief and Deputy CM, what is his age? He is still young, he should have some patience. His actions have been against the party discipline. These youngsters do not have patience", said Digvijaya Singh, Congress.

As per popular expectations, there were rumours of him joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, Pilot has clarified and said "I’m not joining BJP".

Former Assam Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Tarun Gogoi advised Pilot, who was sacked as deputy chief minister, not to run after power. The octogenarian leader asked Pilot to be patient. “My advice to Sachin Pilot to be patient, not to be emotional. Having a bright future your turn will come. I also had similar hurdles but ultimately patience helped. Better not to run after power which will come automatically. Ashok Gehlot may also give due recognition to Pilot (nic),” Gogoi tweeted.
