Sachin Tendulkar hospitalized 6 days after testing Covid-19 positive

Mumbai: Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar on Friday said that he has been hospitalized 'as a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice.' This comes six days after he tested Covid-19 positive.

“Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalized. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone. Wishing all Indians & my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup win,” Tendulkar wrote in a tweet.

Tendulkar, who is the only cricketer with 100 international hundreds and 200 Tests, said he took all necessary precautions to ensure he kept Covid-19 at bay, but he developed mild symptoms.

"I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay. However, I've tested positive today following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative", the master blaster had written in a ln earlier tweet.
