A missile was intercepted over Saudi Arabia’s oil-rich eastern region on Saturday as reported by the ministry of defence.
According to the reports, the missile was stopped over a suburb of the city of Dammam with two Saudi children injured and causing light damage to 14 houses.
Reportedly, military spokesman Brig. Gen. Turki al-Malki said, the Houthis launched three bomb-laden drones and three ballistic missiles in the attack. Yemen’s Houthi rebels did not immediately acknowledge launching the attack.
As per the reports, the US Consulate in nearby Dhahran sent an alert to American citizens to warn them about the attack which was described as targeting the area around Dhahran, Dammam and Khobar.
