Seven deaths 2698 new COVID-19 cases reported in Assam

Assam detected 2698 new COVID-19 cases out of 35147 tests done in the last 24 hours. The Covid positivity rate stands at 7.67 percent.

Out of the 2698 fresh cases, Kamrup (Metro) reported 700 cases, Bongaigaon 190, Lakhimpur 151 and Kamrup (Rural) 142. The active cases in the state have touched 30850 while 92717 patients have recovered so far. Assam recorded seven more coronavirus deaths on Saturday, taking the death toll to 352. Confirming the deaths, the state Health & Family Welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated the details of the deceased:

Rajen Kakoty (80) of Kamrup (M), Prafulla Bora (65) of Charaideo, Sinaram Chetia (54) of Sivasagar, Faizul Islam Laskar (62) of Hailakandi, Debojani Neog (70) of Jorhat, Badal Ch Roy (63), Rostam Ali (63) of Darrang.
