GANGTOK: The Sikkim Government has exempted all government vehicles from odd-even stipulation in a fresh set of guidelines released under the sign of R Telang, Principal secretary of Sikkim Government, today with immediate effect.

The statement said, "all Government Vehicles shall be exempted from odd-even stipulation from 9 am to 5 pm on all working days with immediate effect.

The state has also made seven days of quarantine mandatory for project-related workforce on entry to the State which might be organised at the project site itself only by the project authorities.

It was also mentioned that such quarantine facilities o be actively monitored by the concerned District Collectors.

The state Health Department has confirmed 97 Delta Variant COVID-19 cases in the state of Sikkim yesterday.

Sikkim has reported 257 new cases of COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours pushing the state tally to 23,649.

The state has 2,429 actives cases at this moment.
