In a meeting held in Gangtok, the body observed, “Sikkim is yet to take any concrete step on these issues. Almost all northeastern states have already implemented Inner Line Permit and even Assam is strongly pursuing for ILP implementation but Sikkim seems to be unconcerned.”

Owing to such a scenario in the state, SACAA reiterated its commitment to achieve ILP implementation to safeguard the future of Sikkim and its people. The meeting has decided to approach the Governor and PS Golay-led government to apprise the people about the “dangers of CAA and the importance of Inner Line Permit implementation in Sikkim.”
