Smriti Mandhana becomes first Indian woman cricketer to score a century in the Day-Night Test

NEW DELHI: Smriti Mandhana, an Indian cricketer who plays for the Indian women's national team has created history in the Day-Night Test match playing against Australia women's cricket team.

Mandhana has become the first Indian woman cricketer to score a century in the Day-Night Test.

This is the first Pink Ball Test played by the Indian team.

The only Test match between India and Australia started on September 30.

Australia won the toss and chose to bat first with their batting, India's openers Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma have proven the Australian captain's decision incorrect.

Smriti Mandhana scored her century in 170 balls, using 19 fours and one six.

Smriti Mandhana has scored her first Test century. Smriti, on the other hand, got off to a fast start, and by the time she reached her half-century, she was scoring runs at a strike rate of around 100.

Following that, Smriti began to play more cautiously in accordance with the situation.

Minister of law and justice, Kiren Rijiju took to Twitter and congratulated Mandhana for her achievement.
