Technical snag in treatment plant; water supply to be affected in Guwahati from tomorrow 

GUWAHATI: Water supply will be disrupted to some localities, including Raj Bhawan Road, from Tuesday till Thursday due to a technical snag triggered by a short circuit of 500 KVA transformer at the intake point of Satpukhuri Water Treatment Plant.

The restoration work will begin on Wednesday and is expected to be completed on Thursday, with water service resuming immediately after the work.

Guwahati Municipal Corporation has requested consumers to bear with them during the inevitable inconvenience.

Areas that will be affected include Raj Bhawan Road, Kharghuli Road, Lamb Road, Latasil area, Silpukhuri area, Chandmari area, Bamunimaidam area, Nizarapar area, Joypur area etc, a GMC statement said.

Water supply will be provided through mobile water tankers of GMC 11 Superintending Engineer, Water Works, Guwahati Municipal Corporation.
