Guwahati, June 15, 2019:

A consensus among the citizenry of India at large says that the Northeastern states are the 'fashion paradise' of the entire country as you are bound to see a unique plethora of the choicest fashion get-ups being flaunted by the young men and women of these hilly states.

If one visits any of these states -- Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim -- he/she is bound to be greeted with rainbow-like colors apparels and a myriad of fashion trends by these smartly dressed and fashion-conscious 'junta'.

In fact, these Northeasterners draw second glances even when they are wandering through the streets of any major metro city and people are left wondering and marvelling at their unique, colorful, and experimental fashion choices and their ability to conjure up dazzling attires with barely anything.

"People in North India know only two things about Northeasterners -- that they speak good English, and they wear fashionable clothes", says Ami Nathung, a young Delhi University-educated Arunachali student.

These fashion daredevils, despite setting the streets ablaze with their carefully-sought out colors and the sun to shame (due to the bright colors they wear) are yet to make a significant impact in the world of fashion.

Despite owning enviable wardrobes and wearing international trends and brands with a penchant for favoring innovative and daring fashion trends, these young fashionistas are yet to be fully embraced by the fashion industry, and what a great loss it is!

It is pertinent to add here that although fashion is 'creative' and 'artistic' and is known for its propensity to transcend boundaries, it still has to be cultured. And that is where designing schools come in. Although the concept of 'glamour' as a means of earning 'bread-and-butter' is still quite new in the Northeast, people are slowly waking up to the fact that the untapped talent in this region could lead to many a breakthrough in the world of fashion.

It is with this view in mind that the Royal Global University situated in the 'gateway to the Northeast' Guwahati has come up with the 'ROYAL SCHOOL OF FASHION DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY' with the aim of turning this region into the hub of fashion education in the country. The Royal School of Design offers many exciting programmes   -- Bachelor in Design (Fashion Design), Master in Design (Fashion Design) and Diploma in Fashion Design in addition to Bachelor in Interior Design (BID), Master in Interior Design (MID), Bachelor in Design (Communication Design) and Diploma in Interior Design.

With their industry-oriented education and digitally-equipped multimedia classrooms, Royal Global University is set to breed a new set of talents who will be encouraged to think with an intensely creative, open-minded and international outlook and thereby create 'global citizens' who will be well-equipped to bring about a positive change in the 'world of glitz and glamour'. Moreover, the students at the Royal School of Design will get an infinite number of opportunities and exposure.

The Hollywood diva Audrey Hepburn once rightly pointed out that "elegance is the only beauty that never fades", and once you step into the hallowed halls of the 'Royal School of Design', this elegance, this world of glamour and creativity with a spark befitting the ramp walks of Paris, can be yours. With Royal School of Design, the elusive world of fashion can truly be in your grasp.
