Bihu might have come and gone, but the fever that is associated with the most colorful of festival hardly seems to have died down. The evergreen tunes of Bihu and the dance steps associated with it continue to haunt the Assamese population like memories of a loved one after a particularly difficult break-up.

Performed in a group, the Bihu dancers are usually young men and women, and the dancing style is characterized by brisk steps, and rapid hand movements.
