Trinamool Congress challenge Biplab Deb led-BJP Govt in Tripura of forming next Govt

AGARTALA: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has set its sights on Tripura challenging to take on the Biplab Kumar Deb led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government's power.

TMC national general secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee who recently visited Tripura made it clear that Mamata Banerjee's party wishes to form government in the state and project itself as a key competitor.

During his visit to Tripura, Banerjee highlighted the importance of strengthening the grassroots rather than seeking the support of the Left Front and the Congress, as anti-BJP sentiment has grown.

He said his party would form the next government in Tripura after the 2023 assembly election.

"In coming 2023, the Dawn of Democracy shall shine brightly upon the people of Tripura. Each and every single person will smile as they become the key drivers of change," he said.

Adressing the media in Agartala, yesterday, the TMC leader has also claimed that, his convoy was attacked BJP supporters when he was heading towards Tripurasundari Temple in Gomati district, Tripura after his arrival at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport on August 2.

Banerjee also warned CM Deb to be prepared with the resignation, as very soon his party is going to take over his power.

The Trinamool Congress has also established a schedule for leaders to visit the state and help strengthen the party.

TMC general secretary Kunal Ghosh has started camp in Tripura from today and will continue till 6 August.

After Ghosh , Samir Chakroborty's will make his visit to the state.
