Tripura: 10 more corona positive, state tally reaches 90 active cases

10 people found covid19 positive in Tripura on Friday taking the tally of the state to 90 active cases. Out of the 10 people positive, 8 are Bangladesh returnees, and 1 from Gurgaon, 86th Bn BSF each.

The positive cases were found after 915 persons were tested. All the airport passengers have been tested negative.

Taking stock of the situation, CM Biplab Deb, said, "Govt is taking all precautionary measures to keep everyone secure" on a tweet.

Tripura & Northeast

Assam has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases followed by Tripura.

India cases so far

The novel coronavirus has infected over 1.74 lakh people and claimed over 4971 lives as on May 30, 2020, morning, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. There are 86422 active cases with 82369 cases discharged and cured.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 2 thousand deaths. It has recorded 62228 corona cases with 26997 cured and 2098 deaths. The western state is followed by Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Gujarat has corona 15934 cases with 8611 cured and 980 deaths. Tamil Nadu has registered 20246 cases with 11313 cured and 154 deaths. The National Capital with 17386 COVID-19 cases has crossed the 10 thousand mark on May 25^th, 2020. So far, 7846 have been cured in Delhi with 398 deaths.

India has already surpassed China’s official figure of 82,993 confirmed coronavirus cases. India is the 10^th most cases in the world. So far, the USA has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 1.78 m.
