AGARTALA: Tripura government has made COVID-19 screening mandatory in the Agartala airport for everyone arriving in Tripura from other states, having a high prevalence of the infection.

These guidelines were issued by a high-level state committee on COVID-19 prevention.

Passengers coming from overseas will also be subjected to Covid-19 tests at the airport.

The committee, however, made no mention of those arriving in Tripura by train or other means.
