Tripura Police Burns Marijuana Worth Rs. 3.15 Crore

Agartala, July 31, 2019:

In a massive drive against intoxicating substances, Tripura Police destroyed a total of 6300 kg of marijuana in RK Nagar yesterday. The marijuana is worth Rs 3.15 crore in the market.

The marijuana was burnt under the vigil of High-Level Drug Disposal Committee and as per court’s order. The state government had taken a massive drive against drug mafias in the state and is working towards a ‘Nasha Mukt Tripura’.

The drugs were accumulated from four police stations -- Udaipur, Dharmanagar, Kalam Chora and Melagarh seized by the police personnel in the last few months.
