Tripura: Railway police apprehend woman drug peddler with brown sugar in Agartala

AGARTALA: The Railway Police Force (RPF) on January 21 apprehended a woman drug peddler with Brown Sugar approximately worth Rs 6 Lakh in Agartala.

Sources reported that the peddler has a good network in Myanmar-Manipur-Dimapur to Tripura and Mumbai.

The Northeast Frontier Railway on Saturday informed that RPF/Agartala along with GRP and SB of Tripura detained one lady with 16 packets of Brown sugar on the evening of January 21st, at Agartala Railway Station. The market value of the recovered item is about Rs 6 lakh.

Reportedly, the 36-year-old woman hails from Assam’s Hojai and travelled by the Silchar-Agartala special train.

Her husband who accompanied her managed to flee, NFR notified.
