Tripura records 80.62 per cent in 10th boards, over 400 schools register full pass percentage

AGARTALA: Tripura has recorded an impressive 80.62 percent in the Class 10 board exams, which were released on Saturday.

This year’s pass rate is 11.13 percent higher than last year.

Last year, Class 10 had a pass rate of 69.49 percent, while the overall pass rate was 65.14 percent.

According to the Tripura Board of Secondary Education ( TBSE) president Dr. Bhabatosh Saha, candidates who are dissatisfied with their grades may sit for exams once the Covid situation becomes to normal.

This year’s enrolled included 39,987 normal Class 10 candidates from 1066 schools and 94 Madrassa Alim candidates from seven Madrassas.

A total of 426 schools have received 100 percent pass.

Gomati district had the highest pass rate among the eight districts with 88.84 percent. The lowest pass rate among districts is 73.37 percent in Dhalai.

Due to an increase of COVID-19 cases, the TBSE postponed and then cancelled Class 10 and 12 board examinations on May 1 and later cancelled the examinations on May 16.
