Two persons in UP awarded 30 years imprisonment for raping a minor
BULANDSHAHR: Two persons in Uttar Pradesh have been awarded 30 years of imprisonment by a court in Bulandshahr district for raping a 13-year-old girl this year.
The Special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court Judge, Pallavi Agarwal also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 each on – Biresh (21) and Gitam (20).
Both the accused have been sent to 30 years imprisonment within just 52 days of the incident, said district senior superintendent of police Santosh Kumar Singh.
The 13-year-old was raped on January 11 at a village village under Ramghat police station in the district.
The police arrested the accused under the provisions of the POCSO Act and within nine days they have filed a charge-sheet before the court.
