GUWAHATI: The United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) today finally released Ritul Saikia, the employee of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) somewhere in Nagaland Myanmar border.

The ULFA-I yesterday announced that it will release Ritul Saikia within the next few days and Saikia shall be soon reunited with his family.

The move from the outfit came after Assam chief minister  Himanta Biswa Sarma  yesterday appealed to ULFA(I) Chief Paresh Baruah to release Saikia at the earliest.

Saikia was abducted by the outfit on April 21 along with two colleagues Mohini Mohan Gogoi and Alakesh Saikia), from ONGC’s workover rig site.
