Sikkim has decided not to allow the inter-district vehicular movement during Unlock 1.0, which begins today. Moreover, the gymnasiums and sports complex will also remain closed.

The decision has been taken after the recent rise in the COVID-19 cases in the state.

Prem Sing Tamang government has also decided not to allow import any hardware materials from Siliguri for the next 15 days.

“These decisions can be seen as precautionary measures as next batch of returnees are coming from  Maharashtra which is Red zone so there might be a risk so the government don’t want to take any risk as first case was migrant case,” an official said.
