TAMULPUR: Ahead of the by poll elections, MP Naba Kumar Sarania on Tuesday took part in the election campaign party office inauguration of Gana Surakha Party (GSP) candidate from No 58 Tamulpur LAC,  Brajendra Nath Deka, where he made some debatable remarks.

While interacting with media, Sarania said, "If BTR decides to deviate from Gana Surakha Party or if the party and Naba Kumar Sarania do not remain a part of it, that very day United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) will not be able to enter Kokrajhar and will be chased away", he said.

"If there was indeed an alliance between BJP and UPPL, then why GSP was not invited for discussions regarding selection of candidates", he added.

Sarania further urged to not use his or his party's symbol for campaigning since there is no alliance between BJP and UPPL at the Assembly.

If it continues, a complaint will be registered at the Election Commission regarding the matter, added Sarania.

He anticipated that GSP will bear fruitful results at Tamulpur and Gossaigaon.

He further urged the voters of Bhabanipur to not under any influence and follow their conscience.

Speaking on the occasion, No 58 Tamulpur LAC candidate Brajendra Nath Deka said, "Several promises are made before the election. However nine of those are fulfilled after the win. Hence, I assure to address the issues of the region at the assembly and I am sure GSP will bear good results."
