Manchester, June 27, 2019:

The undefeated 'Men in Blue' will lock horns with West Indies in their 6th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Old Trafford in Manchester on Thursday.

India will no doubt head into the match as the firm favorites as they have won four out of their first five matches. The 'Windies' have won only 1 out of 6 matches and will be fighting to keep their slim chances of making the semi-finals alive.

It may be mentioned that the West Indies cricket team, which used to be dominant in the past, and has won two World Cups, have been plagued by off-field issues, and have struggled to maintain good performances on the field despite the occasional spark of brilliance here and there.

India, however, have shown solid skills with both ball and bat and have emerged as one of the frontrunners in this edition of the Cricket World Cup and have been led by scintillating performances from skipper Virat Kohli, who has led with determination and just the right amount of aggression.

In the lead up to World Cup 2019, there was a lot of hype surrounding the West Indies team and some genuinely believed Jason Holder's men are capable of testing top teams. Despite the firepower in the side, West Indies' performances in the tournament are far from impressive.

West Indies will also be affected by the absence of Andre Russell, who has been ruled out from the match.
