Why is it important to be financially independent?

It is important for everyone to understand that they should be financially independent. Even today, there are many women who think that when they get married, they don’t really need to earn but that is not the ideal situation. Men and women are equal in today’s world and so if a man is contributing then a woman should too, in order to to build a good future.

Here's why it is important to be financially independent:

Firstly it is important to be financially independent so that you can take the decisions you want to take without depending on someone else. If you are dependent on somebody else then whatever u would want to do in your life will depend on certain people and factors.

• Being financially independent will also allow you to plan your own expenditure and spend according to your wish, while saving up for whatever you you want. You can plan where you want to go.

• If you earn on your own then you will have to make less compromises. If you are financially dependent on someone then you will have to see what they are capable of providing you and you will have to work according to that.

• Earning your own money will also help you be emotionally stable so that you are able to take the correct decision for yourself. Also, you won't need to have a companion unless you really want one.

Firstly we all need to understand what our needs and wants are. There are people who keep their expectations and wants very low, so they are able to accomplish their financial goals in very less but there are also people who like to have a very lavish lifestyle. We should not judge either lifestyle but then you need to define what you really want.

Then you need to make sure that your financial goals align with that and then you will become a more financially independent person. We also need to make sure that whatever we earn in a month, we do not spend the entire amount. We should make sure that we save a certain percentage of the amount and spend the rest of it.

Whatever you save today, that little amount will turn into a source of joy tomorrow
