LAHORE: A woman identified as Maiyra Zulfiqar (24) in Pakistan was found in a pool of blood in her flat on April 3.

The incident took place in Lahore, Defence, where Maiyra Zulfiqar, a British law graduate was found dead in her rented flat after rejecting two marriage proposals.

After receiving a phone call from her father in London saying she had been murdered, Zulfiqar's uncle, Lahore resident, Mohammad Nazeer, discovered the body.

Following a complaint from Nazeer, the police have filed a first information report (FIR) in the case.

Zulfiqar was shot in the neck and arm, Punjab Police quoted as saying to media citing an initial post-mortem report.

She had been shot twice, and police say she was strangled as well.

Reports suggest that the two men both who wanted to marry the law graduate from London had threatened her after she rejected their proposals.
