ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh government has ordered all higher educational institutions, including colleges, universities, and polytechnics, to close as of May 1 due to India’s rapidly worsening Covid-19 situation.
According to notifications released by the Arunachal Pradesh government and the Rajiv Gandhi University in Itanagar, all schools, universities, and polytechnics will be closed from May until further notice.
As per notification, all private universities and central autonomous institutions in Arunachal Pradesh must plan their academic calendars and examination schedules in accordance with the current UGC and ministry of education guidelines.
They would then notify their respective district administrations as well as the state’s education department of the situation.
All offices of higher educational institutions, on the other hand, will continue to operate in accordance with strict Covid-19 protocols and all SOPs issued by the state government.
