DIMAPUR: Alobo Naga, an acclaimed musician from Nagaland, has expressed his support for Indian farmers who have been protesting against the Centre’s controversial farm laws.

 

 

"I genuinely support the #FarmerProtest in India. ‘Dear Government, Handle and tackle it wisely, whether it’s good or bad – they are all your children. Stop this stepmother treatment," Naga wrote in a tweet earlier today.

Taking a dig at Kangana Ranaut, who has been trolling the supporters of the farmers' movement, Naga further wrote, "PS: waiting for @KanganaTeam to retweet it with my shirtless pic." Protests by farmers against the Farm bills have continued unabated in several states of the country, including various borders of the national capital, New Delhi since November 26, 2020.

Following his tweet, some netizens have even taken the screenshot of the tweet and made it viral saying Alobo is "insulting stepmothers."

 

 

In a related development, Veteran actor Susan Sarandon on February 6 extended her support to the ongoing farmers' agitation and said she stands in solidarity with the protesters.
