Naga singer's stunning cover of Kishore da's Bengali song becomes viral hit

 

KOHIMA: Ngukavi Naga Naga, who recently became the first Naga singer chosen to sing songs for a Bollywood movie, has set a shining example of national integration by covering a song by the legendary Kishore Kumar.

 

 

 

Naga's rendition of 'Shing Ne Tobu Naam Tar Singha' from Bengali movie 'Lukochuri' is now starting to win hearts online.

 

 

 

Talking to Inside Northeast, Naga said that he chose to cover the song as a tribute to all the Bengalis of India. "I think this was a good opportunity to pay a tribute to the beautiful Bengali language. Additionally, I chose a song by Kishore da as he has always been an inspiration," he said.

The song, uploaded by Naga on his official YouTube channel, is now racking up a good number of views on the platform, with netizens being all-praise for the musician's attempt to sing in a different language without losing the basic essence.

It needs mention here that the Find Studioz Production House based in Mumbai has roped him for their upcoming movie projects.

 

 

 

Naga has disclosed to Inside Northeast that he is going to shift base to Mumbai so that he can pursue his dream of becoming a playback singer.

 

 

 

"I was struggling to make it as a playback singer for 21 years; therefore, I am eager to finally move to Mumbai to give wings to my dreams," he said.
