GUWAHATI: The Zomato delivery boy, Kamaraj, who was alleged of leaving the Bengaluru-based Instagram influencer Hitesha bleeding with broken nose has shared his side of the story.

He said he had no intention of hitting her.

“I was late because of the traffic on the road, thus I apolozised and requested her not to complain against it, while Hitesha grabs the slippers and started beating me, and continued beating me. Her action totally shocked me. Then to defend myself I pushed her hand away, in which she was wearing a finger ring which hit her nose,” Kamaraj said.

Later the woman shared a video on social media alleging Kamaraj hit her. And the video went viral when Kamaraj was arrested on the charges of assaulting a woman on March 10.

However, he was later granted conditional bail the next day.

He also lost his job.

Recently a video of Kamraj saying that he has no intention of filing a complaint against anyone has surfaced online.

In the video, he was seen crying and was begging to get his job back, as he was the only person who was earning in the family.

“I have no intention of filing a complaint against anyone. The only thing I want is just to live my life peacefully. My father passed away 15 years ago, and my mother is a diabetes patient,” he said in the video.

Kamaraj requested everyone to help him out to get out of this case. “I want to get back my job,” he added.

After Kamaraj’s side of the story came out, the public support shifted towards him in large numbers.

Besides the general public, Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra has also come out in support of him.

The actress requested Zomato India to "publically report the truth".

“Zomato India - PLEASE find and publicly report the truth.. If the gentleman is innocent (and I believe he is), PLEASE help us penalise the woman in question. This is inhuman, shameful, and heartbreaking. Please let me know how I can help..” the actress wrote on her Twitter handle.
