An Indian Premier League (IPL) was busted in Guwahati city on Tuesday and one individual was arrested, police said.
The alleged bookie, identified as Subhash Vaid, was nabbed after an operation conducted by the Crime Branch in Guwahati.
It has been alleged that the individual was running a huge betting racket in the name of the IPL cricket tournament which is currently underway.
A cash sum of Rs. 46,000, as well as other valuables and incriminating documents, have been recovered from the suspect.
Further investigation is on in relation to the incident.
