Sikkim extends lockdown till June 21 with more relaxations; details here

GANGTOK: Sikkim’s government has once against extended lockdown till May 21 keeping in view the continuing surge of COVID-19 cases in the state. However, several restrictions have been eased as the cases are slowly starting to decline in India.

Till June 21, taxis and private vehicles will be allowed to ply on an odd/even basis.

However, government vehicles on duty will be allowed to ply from 9 am to 5 pm without odd/even rule.

All standalone shops will be allowed to open to 5 pm.

Private commercial establishments shall be allowed to operate till 5 pm with 50% staff. E-Commerce and home delivery of products will also be allowed till 5 pm.

All gyms, spas, barber shops, parlour can open till 5 pm with 50% staff.

Restaurants, fast food, bakeries allowed to open till 8 pm with 50% seating capacity. Home delivery of food shall be allowed till 8 pm.

State government offices has been asked operate with only 50% capacity.
