MUMBAI: Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter account has been suspended after she violated the microblogging site’s rules by posting texts.
In a series of messages, the actress made comments on the alleged violence that occurred in West Bengal after election results were announced recently.
After Mamta Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) won the election in West Bengal defeating Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kangana demanded president’s rule.
Just after her Twitter account was suspended, Kangana posted a video on Instagram in response to Twitter suspending her account, calling the move “death of democracy” and using the hashtags “Bengal Burning” and “Bengal Violence.”
Kangana had also previously been chastised for making “insensitive comments” on social media about farmers’ protests.
