Siliguri reports multiple variants of COVID-19 cases

SILIGURI: At least seven cases of two different variants of COVID-19 have been reported in West Bengal's Siliguri in the past 24 hours.

Five of the seven cases tested positive for the Delta variant of COVID-19, while two tested positive for the 'UK' variant.

All the fresh variants of COVID-19 were found at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), said hospital Superintendent Dr. Sanjay Mallick.

Dr. Sanjay Mallick urged people not to fear, stating that the hospital administration was fully prepared to handle the situation with the assistance of the health department.
